Quest for Valadrin initial dev launch
So here's the first proper build for Quest for Valadrin!
I've been working on this in my spare time for a little over a year now (with some breaks). During that time the game moved from a 30kb console app, and eventually across to Unity. The move was purely to have more control over how the UI looks and feels, including the borders and map design. Although I'm trying to make sure it keeps that old school DOS feel to it.
As for the game itself, it's quite unbalanced at the moment. I don't think I've ever made it past world 2, so refining that in the coming days will be pretty important. I'm also already working in improving the ability system to offer greater options for players, as well as more random things to see and find around the map. After that I'd like to expand on the race selection somehow, so that there is some meaning to what you've selected.
I don't think this type of game will be for everyone (and probably not for many people at all!) but it gave me something to do when I was unable to find a D&D group. I hope whoever plays this has a bit of fun, and if you read this, please feel free to send across any feedback, as it will only help improve this little game!
